I realized that a place of living is not complete without a place to place that tush. I really don't have one of those. Well, I have a couch, but let's face it. Couches are not great places to just park the tush to watch TV. Well, they can be with the right couch. But, I view the couch as a place to snooze in front of a bad television program, like the one I had the misfortune of watching this evening (goddamn flipping channels). Don't watch "Who wants to be a superhero?." That show is one to avoid. Anyway, I lost my tush spot a few years ago. It was this old recliner that wasn't going to make the move into storage. Oh, I loved that recliner. I would sit in it with a beer in hand, remote in the other, and let life pass me by. I can't say I had good memories in that chair, but my mentality and my tush didn't mind. It was my throne. I was my spot to think. I was just a great piece of furniture. I miss it... That is until today. La-Z-Boy had a sale! I found a new throne for my tush! Yes, baby! A recliner will be delivered here in 6-8 weeks. It's Burgundy colored, plush, fabric protected goodness! I almost fell asleep in it as soon as I tested the floor model in the showroom. I couldn't pass up the chance to give my tush a new place to contemplate, nap, eat, drink beer, and watch TV (A new LCD Widescreen baby! Not big, but perfect for my needs!!!). The game room will soon have a new throne. So, I think that about does it for my game room furniture needs. I thought I had what I needed, but I was dead wrong. (As a side note, I delivered number 14,15,16 bags of garbage to the dumpster... I really didn't need that old Halloween costume or that what-zit or that thingy that I bought drunk).
On the lighter side, I have a new pet. His name is Reginald. He's a spider. He lives on this huge ass web on my balcony. For a brief moment I was going to destroy that web, but then I saw Reggie... Fuck, that damn spider was huge!!!! It was that moment I decided to co-exist with it. No way was I going to go near that thing with my hand. Besides, he's nocturnal. He only comes out to scare the hell out of me in the evening. That's cool. Now that I go to bed earlier, we only chat for maybe a minute. It's good to have roommates. Especially ones that eat Crickets and moths.... Reggie seems to really life living with me, I think. He hasn't tried to bite me and that's a good thing. I think my family has aversions to spider bites. So, for now Reggie can stay.
Did I mention my new throne? Burgundy recliner from La-Z-Boy! It will be near my couch so I can have sitting options. I will have a couple of barstools in there to boot. One can never have too many seating options. Variety is the spice of life.
Anyway, I am going to head. I have much to do tomorrow... I am also trying out my new drying rack. I thought I had a dish drying rack, but it appears it has disappeared forcing me to drive to Target to find a replacement. It's those little things, I tell you. Go drying rack! Dry that coffee mug! DRY!
