Tuesday is Monday....

It is as I suspected. Tuesday is Monday in disguise! I had my suspicsion... But, it's confirmed.

If I had a job and my automobile wasn't so damned important, I wouldn't have to be so angry about sinking the $3000 I don't have into it to keep it running. Yesterday I had my vehicle at Midas all day because the front wheels were making a metal on metal grinding noise. $1500 later, no more noise. BUT, since I am at 50,000 and I have the time, I decided to bring the car into the dealer for the 50,000 maintenance check. I have a manifold leak. I guess, if left unchecked, we could have some serious issues and serious problems. That's basically $1000 to get that in tow, not to mention the other little things that need done, like a transmission flush and a complete fuel system cleaning. I need the car... especially since I may have to drive all over Illinois for this job hunt deal... Not to mention Wisconsin visits this summer ... Yeah... So... yeah... I am a little ... AND, well, no and...ummm... I don't feel like writing anything fun...

But, to follow up on Emily and the family. Everybody has returned safely. The older kids are fighting with each other like usual. My sister is, well, dealing with her usual shit... And, Em? She missed me. First thing yesterday morning, she screamed my name when she woke up. I went to retrieve her from her crib and we continued to have breakfast with one another before she went to daycare... After daycare, she and I spent the evening chilling on the couch. I couldn't go to my class because I didn't have my car until 6:00pm. Anyway, Emily invented a new game to play with me (in addition to the hat on floor game, the pinch my nose game, the jump on Uncle Joe game, the throw cat toys at Joe game, the tickle Em's stomach game, the sing songs game, and the "take the things from Em's hands that could kill her game, and the "Joe! JJJJOOOOEEEE!!!" - What? game). If I try to read something like a newspaper, flyer, or book, she will climb up on me, grab it from my hands, and whip it accross the room. I, in response, must make a silly, surprised face and look at her all funny like. She, then, gets to laugh hysterically. We played this for 15 minutes last night with the Sunday edition of the Chicago Tribune... It was aaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllll over the living-room this morning. I had no idea we made that big a mess. So, yeah, I get the phone call from Chevy (with the bad news) and then I had to go clean up the new game which I am sure we'll be playing more often, in addition to all the other new games that come down the pipelin. It is close to Doodlebops time, so I am going to shower, grab some coffee and take a few minutes with the Niece. I wish you all a wonderful day... Better then my day, at least! Wait! Alas, another game, I shall call "Sleepies"..... Emmie curls up next to me. She looks at me, pats the couch cushion, and says, "Sleepies!" I must fake the zzzzs while coming up with some strange snoring noise. She then wakes me up and the process begins again. The problem? I am running out of creative snoring. Damn.
